Jacky Hodges (GAICD) is the Chief Data Officer at the NSW Department of Education – leading the Data and Analytics pillar of the Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation (CESE) directorate and was recently the Executive Director, Schools Policy and Evidence.
She serves on ACARA’s Reference and Advisory Group for National Assessment, Data, Analysis and Reporting and Centre for Educational Measurement and Assessment (CEMA) (Sydney University) Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining the Department, Jacky spent over a decade at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, where she held various leadership roles including Chief Risk and Chief Audit Executive Officer, General Manager for Enterprise Strategy & Communications, General Manager for Industry Statistics, and Statistical Business Transformation and was Regional Director in the NSW, WA and Tasmanian offices.
Education has always been a cornerstone of Jacky’s success. Equipped with studies in Organisational Behaviour, Strategic Human Resource Management, Graduate Certificate in Statistics and Bachelor of Applied Science, she possesses a diverse and unique range of expertise.
In recognition of her achievements, Jacky earned her spot among Westpac and Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence in 2012 in the Public Policy category for her work with the Tasmanian Government. She has also given back to the community, volunteering as a Board Member for International Justice Mission.
