Mick has over 20 years experience in the Queensland Government, with most of that time being involved in identity policy. Mick is the Director (Business Transformation) on the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Digital Licence and Digital Identity program. Mick’s role sees him having responsibility for the legislation, policy and strategy for the program. This is an innovative program that has aligned Queensland’s Digital Licence to the International Standard for mobile Driving Licences (ISO 18013-5) and Queensland’s Digital Identity with the Commonwealth’s Trusted Digital Identity Framework. Security and privacy protections are key to driving trust and uptake in the Digital Licence, and Mick is keen to share his insights on how TMR are doing this.
