Her leadership focuses on embedding a culture of kindness, delivering quality services using advanced digital solutions and innovative approaches, and fostering inclusivity.
Ruth drives innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to responsible resource management and embracing digital advancements. Notably, she recently led a successful recruitment campaign during a global shortage, quickly forming a skilled Business Analytics and Reporting Team, and expanded data assets in the Supply Chain Branch of the Corporate Services Division in Queensland Health.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ruth spearheaded the implementation of the COVID-19 Case Survey System (CSS) for Queensland Health, achieving a remarkable 72% response rate. This initiative reflects her commitment to innovation and strategic problem-solving in leveraging technology to address healthcare challenges.
Apart from her achievements, Ruth is dedicated to nurturing and supporting promising data professionals, evident in her involvement as an Industry Partner and intern supervisor for the University of Queensland’s School of Maths and Physics Summer School Program, and with her ongoing contributions as a mentor with Queensland Health MentorMe Program and the Women in Technology Network Mentor Program.
