Sabina has forty years of progressive leadership in Information Management and Technology (IMT), supporting both the public sector and a variety of industries across Canada, the USA, and Europe, including Scandinavia early in her career. She is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the People, Families, and Communities sector in the Government of Alberta, serving the ministries of Children’s Services, Community and Social Services, and Seniors and Housing. She is the former CIO of Western Economic Diversification Canada, and Regional Executive for Western and Northern Canada with Shared Services Canada (Government of Canada). She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Alberta (1980), and followed later with an executive MBA from Canada’s leading School of Business, Queen’s University in 2000.
