Sew Bun is currently the Managing Director and Group Head of Technology Services at the DBS Bank, responsible for Infrastructure Strategy and Engineering, Infrastructure Control and Change Management, Collaborative User Services, Access Management and COO function for TS.
Prior to DBS Bank, Sew Bun was Deputy Chief Executive for GovTech, which is the implementation agency for Digital Government transformation and Smart Nation initiatives for the Government of Singapore. he was responsible for implementation of services, governance and cybersecurity for the Government. of Singapore.
Prior to GovTech, Sew Bun was the Global Head of Retail Digital Transformation for Standard Chartered Bank, responsible for developing capabilities in the Bank’s ambitious transformation journey to offer top-notch banking services to retail customers across the globe.
Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, Sew Bun was an IBM Distinguished Engineer and served several key leadership roles in IBM for over 16 year as a Senior Cloud Advisor and a technical leadership team member in global IBM Cloud business unit, as the ASEAN and Singapore Chief Technology Officer and ASEAN-India-SA Regional Technical Executive. His responsibilities include advising top clients and partners with expert technology and innovation strategies. As the regional CTO, Sew Bun was responsible as the technical executive for IBM ASEAN technical community, and advisory to top clients. In addition, Sew Bun served on IBM top technical councils. Throughout his 15 year career with IBM, Sew Bun received several important awards, including the AP Technical Representative of the Year Award, Global Technical Leadership Excellence Award (IT Architect Profession), and Best of IBM Award.
Outside of IBM, Sew Bun is an Adjunct Professor in the National University of Singapore and member of the Keppel Technology Advisory Panel.
