Amit Lakhani has varied experiences in managing operational risks at organisations of all sizes. He started his career working as a consultant with Accenture where he developed and deployed multi-million dollar programmes involving compliance and risk elements, especially information security and cyber risks. Further, Amit worked at large multinational organisations in his role at KPMG driving strategic decision-making, investments and risk reduction programmes.
In his current role, Amit looks after IT risks, third party/vendor risk management and fraud risks across the Corporate and Institutional Banking division for BNP Paribas. Increasingly, he is converging the management of all such transversal operational risk topics into Operational Resilience(OpRes) and therefore OpRes is becoming a key priority for him. He has been a key contributor to the CIB OpRes programme and provided oversight and supervision on the topic through his second line of defence role.
