Cathryn has more than 25 years of extensive ICT experience in large, complex government environments, including both shared services and major application initiatives. Over her career Cathryn has successfully led several large programs of change and operations for the Australian Government.
Today, Cathryn is the Assistant Secretary of the Commonwealth Budget Management System (CBMS) Branch, leading a hybrid team of Department of Finance employees and vendor specialists to ensure and enhance the stability and effectiveness of CBMS. CBMS is integral to the Australian Government’s ability to deliver services to citizens and facilitates the movement of $3 billion per day across al 189 Entities in the Commonwealth.
Cathryn is leading the Upgrade of the CBMS SAP based system to a cloud ready state, including working with SAP to identify the future state products, roadmaps and POC’s required to allow the transition of CBMS to a cloud ready S/4 HANA state, while simultaneously minimising any disruption to the Budget and the Business teams who support it.
