Richard is a 30-year ICT veteran starting with mainframes with the Commonwealth Bank, moving into SME markets and onto large clients in shipping, mining, and other heavy industries. He was the IT director in 2010 for a mining company with uranium, gold and diamond projects in Outback Australia, Laos, and Canada. He founded his IT consulting practice in 1999 and today work with two large telcos and several Australia Federal Government agencies.
Richard is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) with ISACA and a Certified Professional in Cyber Security with Australian Computer Society.
He was in national congress and an executive committee member at the Australia Computer Society until 2020 and is the chair of cloud branch at Australia Information Security Association.
