Craig Rowlands is the General Manager Enterprise Data at Australian Unity. Craig’s role is to provide thought leadership, expertise in supplying pragmatic business focussed data and analytics solutions. Whilst leading highly skilled teams to deliver on Australian Unity’s strategic aim of delivering Real Wellbeing for our Members, their communities and broader Australian society.
The General Manager Enterprise Data is the ultimate custodian of data strategy, governance, and capability for Australian Unity. This group wide role harnesses the power of advances in big data and data analytics to deliver enterprise-wide digital and data ambitions and be responsible for monetising and exploiting the information assets of Australian Unity.
Craig has an extensive background in data and analytics, commencing in the UK until he moved to Australia in 2011. Whilst in the UK, Craig worked for blue chip banking and finance industry leaders such as Barclays, First Direct, GE and Hbos. His first role in Australia was with ANZ as Head of Decision Systems. Craig has held senior data roles at Bupa, Medibank, and Latitude Financial Services (formally GE) where he has led large teams responsible for data strategy & design, data governance, data visualisation, data operations, data engineering and analytics.
