Dr Macnaughtan heads up the ANZ region for Backbase. With an extensive background in technology development and commercialisation, Malcolm helps financial institutions transform their digital channels and get in shape for the increasingly competitive digital and open banking future.
Malcolm’s experience before joining Backbase spans diverse roles including startup co-founder, R&D, product management, and sales leadership.
With a recent focus on Fintech, Malcolm has helped banks, accounting and advisory firms apply digital technology to serve their customers more effectively and profitably.
An engineer by training, Malcolm has a PhD in wireless signal processing and is first named inventor on a number of international patents.
